About the MLIC
The MLIC offers the latest of library technologies in a comfortable, spacious and attractive research environment for students, faculty and attorneys.
Patrons access any of over a hundred computers scattered throughout the facility, sixty of which are in conventional or laptop labs. With 269 network connections on tables and carrels, plus a new wireless network throughout the MLIC, our patrons prefer using their own laptops for Internet connectivity. Expanded to 52,814 square feet, the MLIC's 7 miles of shelving capacity will provide ample space for its growing print collection.
The MLIC has a solid core legal collection as well as specialized collections in energy and environmental law and policy and Native American Law. The Center also provides space for all law school journal offices, the Board of Advocates, special rooms for certificate programs (Native American Law, Comparative and International Law, and Lawyering Skills), the National Energy & Environment Law and Policy Institute, an Alternative Dispute Resolution Center, an Alumni Conference Center, and an office suite for the first year Legal Reasoning, Analysis, and Writing program.
