Anthropology Professor Elected to Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Faculty Advisory Council
Lamont Lindstrom, Kendall Professor of Anthropology, has been elected a 2009 member of the Faculty Advisory Council to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
Lamont Lindstrom, Kendall Professor of Anthropology, has been elected as one of two private university representatives on the Faculty Advisory Council (FAC) to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. The Council is an elected committee of faculty whose purpose is to "communicate with the Chancellor and the State Regents the views and interests of all Oklahoma college and university faculty on those issues that relate to the constitutional and statutory responsibilities of the State Regents." Issues that the Council will address this year include services for student veterans, concealed weapons on campus, and improved tutoring services, among others.

Students investigate the physical and cultural aspects of people from how our faces are shaped to how we find food, build houses, raise children, tell stories, and organize our societies.
