Dr. Susan Dixon, Director of the School of Art and Associate Professor of Art History, curated an exhibit at the Philbrook Museum of Art (Tulsa, OK) - “Piranesi and Rossini: Views of Rome”

 

Prof. Whitney Forsyth, Associate Professor of Art (Ceramics),  has completed several exhibitions over the past year and is preparing for a number of solo and joint exhibitions for the upcoming year.  2007: Invitational/Group Exhibition—Gallery Clay Invitational (Houston, TX), “Dinner in the Duece” Untitled (Oklahoma City, OK).  2008: 2 solo exhibitions - Rosewood Art Center (Ohio) and Artspace (Ponca City, OK), Two-Person Exhibition - IAO Gallery (Oklahoma City, OK). 

 

Sophia was born to MFA candidate and ceramic artist, Vanessa Somerville (MFA 2008), in December of 2007.

 

The MFA graduate students exhibited their works collectively in the Osage Restaurant at the Gilcrease Museum of American Art from October to December of 2007.

 

Johanna Burton, a spring MFA candidate, exhibited her paintings and textile art this past fall at Self Gallery on 11th Street.

 

Courtney Cox, first-year graduate student with an emphasis in photography, had three works accepted into the Momentum OKC exhibition, help on Jan 11th and 12th, 2008, in Oklahoma City. Her photographs were also exhibited in Tulsa Young Professionals "Next/Now, " in September of 2007, and at Artifacts Gallery from June 16th to the 22nd, 2007.

 

Cristiana Prada, a first-year graduate student in printmaking, exhibited her works at Shades of Brown, the coffee shop on Brookside., in February of 2007.
