Bachelor of Music, 1996, Vocal Performance, Stephanie McClure

Dr. Stephanie McClure Adrian received a TU bachelor of music in vocal performance in 1996. She is currently an artist and affiliate lecturer at Emory University in Atlanta.

At the beginning of her college career, Adrian auditioned at TU in both voice and violin and received the Kathleen C. Parriott Scholarship.

"Although I ultimately majored in vocal performance, my professors encouraged me to continue with violin as well, giving me access to even more fabulous professors and performance opportunities," Adrian said.

Her experiences, along with the liberal arts education she received, prepared her to construct the life and diverse career she enjoys today. Whether performing, writing an opera review, co-authoring a research article at Emory University Hospital Midtown, or teaching vocal technique, she uses the skills that her TU professors instilled in her as a student.

"Today, as I work with college students at Emory, I try to emulate the proficiency and nurturing attitude I experienced with my own professors at TU," she said.
