The University of Tulsa allows students to study abroad for up to a full calendar year (two semesters and a summer). Not many students, however, plan to study abroad three separate times. But Kristin Wood did just that, and she couldn’t have chosen three more diverse locations. She spent a summer in Chile, a semester in France and another summer in India.
“Each trip abroad was a learning experience like none other, which led me to become the confident, independent and resourceful person that I am today,” said Kristin.
Even after her three trips, Kristin still couldn’t get enough of study abroad. While working as a Peer Advisor at the CGE, she decided that she wanted to make global education her career. She is currently working on my M.A. in International Education at New York University, and after her graduation, she hopes to find a job helping other students to study abroad.
“I have always been enthusiastic about education and travel, but my time spent studying abroad showed me a career path in which I can combine my interests and enhance the college experience for other students,” said Kristin.
