Helmrich Hall Entrance Renovation

Helmerich Hall, the home of the Collins College of Business, has a new entrance.

The elegant exterior renovation is on the south side of the building facing the "U" in front of McFarlin Library.

The new entrance includes new steps, a porch, columns, and a canopy made out of cast stone. A front arch offers a grand entrance to welcome students and visitors, and beautifully connects Helmerich Hall with the campus.

Landscaping includes trees and shrubs, paver bricks, benches, and new bicycle racks.

The renovations are an extension of other recent projects completed at Helmerich Hall. In 2008, the university added a tower entrance on the north side with Gothic architectural elements that blend with the rest of the TU campus buildings.

The college also recently renovated its interior spaces, adding comfortable public spaces for students to meet and study. These renovations also included the completion of the Williams Student Services Center, which opened in August 2008, and Studio Blue, a one-of-a-kind creative space for student innovation projects.
