Wellspring Assistant Professor’s expertise in Asian studies and entrepreneurship adds value to International Business and Entrepreneurship Institute’s research and teaching activities.
Mike Troilo is an Assistant Professor of International Business and a member of the International Business and Entrepreneurship Institute in the College of Business Administration at the University of Tulsa.
He teaches the Global Economy class to both graduate and undergraduate students as well as the Cultural Context of International Business and International Financial Management to the BBAs. His research interests focus on the effects of institutions like rule of law on entrepreneurial activity across countries, particularly in transition economies such as China.
Mike holds a Ph.D. in business economics and international business from the University of Michigan, an MBA and an MA in East Asian Studies from the University of Virginia, and a BBA in accounting from the College of William and Mary. He is a licensed CPA in Virginia.
In 2006, Troilo received four awards and fellowships, including the Center for International Business education Doctoral Studies Award.
Mike is married with three children and has lived and worked in China and the United Kingdom in addition to traveling extensively through Asia, Europe, and North America.
