Clinical Psychology Graduate Student
Jacob Finn is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program at The University of Tulsa. His research focuses on the assessment of personality and psychopathology through self-report measures, such as the MMPI-2. He is also interested in understanding the common causal mechanisms behind personality traits and various forms of psychopathology, including PTSD.
Jacob is currently the co-chair of the Diagnostic/Treatment workgroup for the Veterans Initiative Advisory Board for the city of Tulsa. His current project with TITAN is assessing the knowledge, interest, and common practices of mental health professionals in the state of Oklahoma, specifically focusing on their work with military service members and their families. The results of the study will be used to inform the Veterans Initiative Advisory Board on what topic areas for continuing education and training opportunities are needed and desired in the Tulsa community. There is also a growing interest in understanding how well mental health settings, outside of the Veterans Affairs system, are meeting the needs of the returning soldiers.
