Nimrod awards dinner and celebration

Join Nimrod International Journal for a Dinner in celebration of the winners and judges of Nimrod's annual writing conference. The Dinner will feature a keynote speech by U.S. Poet Laureate Philip Levine, readings of poetry and fiction by Award-winners Terrence Cheng, Linda Hillringhouse, Judith E. Johnson, and Chelsea Wagenaar, and music by Sharla Pember. Single tickets to the event are $60, and full and half tables, which feature seating with special guest writers, are also available.

Nimrod is also offering a special Two-Day Pass for the entire Awards Weekend, which includes admission to the Awards Dinner on the 26th and Nimrod's Conference for Readers and Writers on the 27th. The conference is an all-day writing conference with workshops in fiction, poetry, memoir, steampunk, writing queries and synopses for literary agents, and more. The day also includes one-on-one editing sessions with theNimrod board of editors, readings, and panel discussions. Key guests include fiction writers Gish Jen, author of World and Town, and Pam Houston, author of Cowboys Are My Weakness; poets Philip Levine, current U.S. Poet Laureate and author ofThe Simple Truth, and Katie Kingston, author of Shaking the Kaleidoscope; steampunk writer Gail Carriger, author of Soulless; memoirist Mira Bartok, author of The Memory Palace; and over thirty other writers and editors.
