Rebecca Costa, Gary Robinson Lecture

Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 02:00 PM to 08:00 PM

Helmerich Hall Room 219 on the TU campus

The Collins College of Business Distinguished Lecture Series will host author and sociobiologist Rebecca Costa along with IBM Big Data program director Gary Robinson for two presentations at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on "Striving, Thriving, Diving and Surviving: Why Fast Adapters Win."

Costa, author of The Watchmen's Rattle: A Radical New Theory of Collapse, and Robinson will discuss what the "fiscal cliff," instability in the Middle East, climate change and wild swings on Wall Street have in common. They will address complex similarities between economic gridlock and irrational policy and how Big Data may help solve these problems.

Both lectures are free and open to the public.
