Nimrod Conference for Readers and Writers

Nimrod hosts annual Conference for Readers and Writers at the Allen Chapman Activity Center.
Join Nimrod International Journal for an all-day writing conference with workshops in fiction, poetry, memoir, young adult fantasy, writing queries and synopses for literary agents, and more. The day also includes one-on-one editing sessions with the Nimrod board of editors, readings, and panel discussions. Key guests include fiction writers Chris Abani, author of The Secret History of Las Vegas, and Roxana Robinson, author of Sparta; poets W. S. Di Piero, author of TOMBO, and Geffrey Davis, author of Revising the Storm; memoirist and poet Britton Gildersleeve, author of The Privilege of Breath; young adult fantasy writers Malinda Lo, author of Ash, and Eilis O'Neal, author of The False Princess; and over thirty other writers and editors.
The cost of the workshop is $50. Scholarships are also available.
Nimrod is also offering a special Two-Day Pass for the entire Writing Conference Weekend, which includes admission to the Awards Dinner on the 24th and Nimrod's Conference for Readers and Writers on the 25th. The 36th Annual Awards Dinner in celebration of the winners and judges of Nimrod's annual writing conference. The Dinner will feature a keynote speech by PEN/Hemingway Award winner Chris Abani and readings of poetry and fiction by Award-winners Mary-Alice Daniel, Jill Logan, and Shobha Rao. Single tickets to the event are $60, and full and half tables, which feature seating with special guest writers, are also available.
