TU Offices Closed 10:30-1:30 on Tuesday
Monday, November 15, 2010
University of Tulsa administrative offices will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, to allow the campus community to watch TU men’s basketball host the ORU Golden Eagles for the nationally televised game.
The Mayor’s Cup game is included as part of ESPN’s College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon, and university officials are encouraging a strong campus turnout to cheer on the Golden Hurricane.
Classes will proceed as scheduled, however faculty members may elect to adjust class schedules at their discretion. Employees working in essential campus offices and services should check with their supervisors about staffing plans during the event.
Tipoff for the game is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. in the Reynolds Center. A lunch special (choice of hot dog or burger, chips, and a drink) is available for $5, but must be purchased from the box office prior to the game.
For this game only, there will not be designated Golden Hurricane Club parking lots on campus. All game patrons, and TU students, faculty and staff will be able to park in any legal parking space on The University of Tulsa campus on Tuesday. Additional shuttles will be operating throughout the entire campus to assist fans from parking lots to the Donald W. Reynolds Center prior to, during, and after the conclusion of the game. Heavy traffic congestion is expected around the arena.
University officials thank our campus family for their patience and cooperation as we welcome guests to campus as the national spotlight shines on TU.
