NEPI energy conference slated for March 23

OPEC at 50: Its Past, Present and Future in a Carbon-Constrained World
The National Energy Policy Institute, a partnership between The University of Tulsa and the George Kaiser Family Foundation, is bringing together eminent voices, industry experts and world-renowned scholars for a day-long discussion concerning the oil markets and the role and significance of OPEC upon is its golden anniversary.
This academic conference will include an examination of energy policies and economic effects, energy security issues, current and future energy consumption and dependency and the role of OPEC on oil prices and supply in the current environment.
The keynote speaker at this event will be Dr. Hasan M. Qabazard, director of the research division at OPEC in Vienna, Austria.
The conference will be held March 23 in the Allen Chapman Activity Center on the TU campus.
