Ad Program team finishes second in NSAC district contest

The University of Tulsa Ad Program placed second in its district on Thursday, April 11, 2013, in the National Student Advertising Competition. TU student Olivia Coye was awarded "best presenter" among the 19 universities competing at the district level.
The NSAC requires American Advertising Federation college chapters to develop a 24-page marketing campaign and 20-minute presentation in response to a real-world case study co-authored by the sponsoring brand and the AAF Academic Division. The case study this year focused on the Glidden brand as it relates to increasing customer awareness at Walmart stores and driving purchasing behavior among the various Glidden products that are available at the retailer's 3,200+ stores across the country.
Each student team participates at the district level, and then winning teams advance to the national level in Phoenix, Ariz., June 5-8, 2013.
