Sophomore Forrest Farjadian participates in "Jeopardy!" College Championship
University of Tulsa student Forrest Farjadian will appear on the May 10 episode of the “Jeopardy!” College Championship as he competes against his peers for $100,000 and an automatic berth in the “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions.
Farjadian, a political science and Spanish sophomore, is from Claremore and has been a devoted fan of “Jeopardy!” since grade school. After taking an online test and participating in a regional audition in New Orleans earlier this year, Farjadian was selected to compete in the College Championship. He traveled to Los Angeles for the taping in April. He credits his love of NPR and OETA as well as his experience as a competitive Academic Team quiz bowl member at Claremore High School for helping him earn a spot on the “Jeopardy!” stage.
"I was out-of-my-mind excited just to be on the show," Farjadian said. "It’s such an honor to represent TU, and I really enjoyed getting to meet the other contestants. We’re such a diverse group from all over the country, studying all kinds of different things but after just an hour or two it felt like we had known each other for years."
