Summer series to feature Much Ado About Nothing
The University of Tulsa is partnering with SummerStage Tulsa and several other individuals and organizations to sponsor Tulsa Shakespeare in the Park on the Guthrie Green, June 11-16.
This year’s series will feature six free nights of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing on the Guthrie Green stage in the Brady Arts District, 111 E. Brady St. Susan Barrett, chair of the TU Department of Theatre, said the performances are an opportunity to introduce theater to the area and promote its accessibility.
“This is a free gift to Tulsa that extends our university theater season into the summer,” she said. “The series will allow us to expose our students to professional shows and professional actors while bringing a stronger theater presence to the Tulsa community.”
Unless otherwise noted below, all performances begin at 8:30 p.m. preceded by a 7:30 preshow that will include live music and swing dancing from Portico Dans Theatre. The series will feature the following events and activities.
