Wednesday, July 02, 2014

The University of Tulsa has been listed in the 2015 edition of Fiske Guide to Colleges, an independent voice in college admissions publications that highlights some of the country’s top universities.

The guide is compiled by veteran journalist Edward B. Fiske who served 17 years as education editor for the New York Times. The publication features a subjective and systematic look at more than 300 colleges and universities in the United States, Canada and Great Britain.

For more than three decades, millions of students, parents and guidance counselors have relied on the Fiske Guide for the best and most interesting schools during their college search. The admissions guidebook includes useful information for prospective students such as the best buys of 2015, detailed school profiles, a pre-professional guide that outlines the best schools based on majors or course study, and a questionnaire aimed at helping students define their college ambitions.

Readers are given an opportunity to learn about TU's student body, academics, social life, financial aid, campus environment, housing, food and extracurricular activities.

"The Fiske Guide provides a unique perspective and seeks input from students for an insider's view," said Barb Adkins, associate vice president for enrollment & student services and dean of admission. "We're pleased to receive this recognition as we continue recruiting the country's best and brightest students to TU."
