Roger W. Sorochty, PhD joined the University in 2001 from St. Bonaventure University, where he was Vice President for University Advancement. Prior to joining St. Bonaventure, Sorochty was a member of the administrative team at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, serving as Vice President for Student Affairs and Director of Organizational Development Services for the school’s Management Development Institute. Sorochty also has served as Vice President for Student Development at Newman University in Wichita, Kansas, Director of Residence Services at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, and Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs at the State University of New York at Potsdam. He holds a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada, a master’s degree from Syracuse University, and a bachelor’s degree from Hobart College.
