CGE Essay Contest Winner Announced
Monday, November 12, 2012
The Center of Global Education would like to congratulate and thank the winners of the 2012 CGE essay contest for the excellent work submitted. Senior Marla Blum won first place for her essay titled “A Roman Snow Angel” about her time studying in Rome, Italy. "I really appreciate and want to thank everyone for the opportunity to share my study abroad experience through the CGE essay contest," said Marla. Her essay will be featured in the 2012 fall/winter CGE Globetrekking Newsletter.
Second and Third place went to Karen Woolie, a graduate student, and Andrew Brooks, a senior, respectively. The CGE would also like to thank the judges, who made the essay contest this year another success for the CGE, for their time and contributions in selecting a winner for this essay contest. Though the essay contest is over, the CGE would like to remind students that their chance to participate in contests and share their study abroad experiences with other students is not over. There will also be the annual CGE study abroad photo contest in the spring. Congratulations again to our 2012 essay contest winners!
