TITAN is hosting an exciting lecture with Dr. Victoria Banyard, a leading research on bystander intervention as a means of preventing interpersonal violence. Her lecture will cover the theory behind this intervention method as well as research in support of its use on college campus. This is an excellent opportunity to meet with an expert in this area.

Concerned about the School Shooting? How to talk to your kids about the shooting

School shootings and other national tragedies are difficult for all. For parents, it can be especially difficult trying to talk to your children about these events and what you can do for them. The best thing you can do right now is reassure your children and answer questions openly about how you keep them safe. Below are some useful resources for parents:

Campus-wide Clothing Drive to Benefit the Women in Recovery Program

TITAN will be collecting clothing and other household items during the last week of the semester. All donations will benefit the participants of the Women in Recovery program here in Tulsa. Donation boxes will be placed in John Maybe Hall, Fisher Hall East, Lorton Hall, Chapman Hall, and ACAC.

TITAN Symposium during the TU Student Research Colloquium/AAAS Convention: “From the Community to the Lab and Back Again”

Symposium highlighting TITAN projects with perspectives from students and agencies in the Tulsa community discussing results from these projects and perceived benefits and barriers to community-based research. Projects showcased were Department of Corrections, Women in Recovery, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, and Domestic Violence Intervention Services/Call Rape.

Resonance Re-Entry Baskets

TITAN and TU's Chapter of Psi Chi gathered donations to make reentry baskets benefitting the Resonance Center for Women’s Reentry Program. This program assists women who are returning to the community following prison and our project provided these women with toiletries and other necessities to help them start their new lives.
