EE 7023 - Electromagnetic Theory
Introduction to waves. Reflection and transmission of waves. Uniqueness, image theory, equivalence principle reciprocity and Green’s Functions. Plane wave functions, rectangular waveguide, partially filled waveguide, model expansion of fields. Cylindrical wave functions, circular waveguide, scattering by cylinders. Spherical wave functions, scattering by spheres. Prerequisite: EE 3023 or equivalent. Core courses in the master’s program.
