CS Programs of Study

The department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences offers two B.S. degree programs in computer science and information systems technology.

B.S. in Computer Science

The degree in computer science offers students a strong foundation in computer sciences and mathematics and emphasizes supporting study in the physical sciences. 

This B.S. degree program in computer science is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012, telephone: 410-347-7700.

B.S. in Information Systems Technology

The information systems technology program offers students a strong foundation in computer science together with supporting subjects selected from professional business courses.

Graduates of both of these programs should be well-prepared to pursue graduate study or industrial and business careers.

M.S. in Computer Science and PhD. in Computer Science

The basic objectives of the graduate programs are: 1) to ensure skills in the use of the tools of computer science and a broad understanding of the discipline’s basic areas; 2) to ensure a firm foundation in computational mathematics; and 3) to provide opportunities for advanced specialization and creative research in computer science.
