Conference of Accountants
The Conference of Accountants evolved from a series of annual meetings first held in 1947 and initiated by the late Professor Paul J. Graber. The Conference is hosted by The University of Tulsa and directed by representatives of the co-sponsoring professional organizations, an advisory board, and the TU School of Accounting and Management Information Systems.

Gary Illiano - Grant Thornton Mr. Illiano is the Partner in Charge of Accounting and Auditing for Grant Thornton LLP. He represents the U.S. firm on the Grant Thornton International IFRS Interpretations Group and provides consultative services on IFRS matters and GAAP-related issues. He is the former Chair of the AICPA’s Independence-Behavioral Standards Subcommittee and is a panel member at Nasdaq listing qualification hearings. A former Professor of Accounting at Pace University, Mr. Illiano received his MBA at Pace and his BA from San Francisco State University.
Erik Hansen - KPMG Mr. Hansen is the IFRS Conversion Services leader as well as Partner-in-Charge of Internal Audit Regulatory & Compliance Services for KPMG’s SW region. He has over 17 years of experience in providing audit, accounting and advisory services to public companies. He has also had significant experience in leading the delivery of large scale process improvement and internal control enhancements projects.
Jean Kelley - Jean Kelley Leadership Consulting Since 1981, Ms. Kelley’s consulting firm has specialized in executive development and team dynamics. 80% of her clients are technical and financial executives. Additionally, she owned and managed Jean Kelley Personnel for 25 years. She has received awards from Inc. Magazine and the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Kelley also has done a weekly segment on KOTV and KBEZ FM.
Jennifer Rand - Deputy Chief Auditor, PCABO As Deputy Chief Auditor, Ms. Rand provides technical direction in the development of the Board’s standards. She also assists in managing the activities of the Office of the Chief Auditor and ensuring that the PCAOB standards are appropriately communicated to public-company auditors and other interested parties. Prior to joining the PCAOB in December 2003, Ms. Rand was director of the SEC Practice Section of the AICPA.
Trent Gazzaway - Managing Partner of Corporate Governance, Grant Thornton An audit partner and the partner-in-charge of corporate governance for Grant Thornton, Mr. Gazzaway’s experience includes auditing public and private companies and assisting an array of company improvement and documentation of effective systems of internal control. He serves as a key resource in training Thornton personnel to audit internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with newly established standards. He is a frequent speaker and has authored several national and international publications related to SOX and corporate governance.
