MIS 7002
MIS 7002 - Information Systems Management
The objective of this course is to provide an introduction to management information systems (MIS): the different technologies available, how systems are currently applied in the world of business both domestically and internationally, and what the future trends are likely to be. The course will introduce students to MIS concepts such as information storage and retrieval, business analysis and managerial strategies that can be used to evaluate information systems for an organization. A managerial perspective of MIS involves a knowledge of the broad themes in MIS, what we have learned in the past, and the ability to think critically and deeply about the future. As such, the course will emphasize a lot of reading and critical analysis.
