I obtained a BS degree from the University of Wyoming in 1984 plus MS degree from the University of Arizona in 1985. Became a certified athletic trainer in 1985 and have been active in the field of athletic training since that date and am very involved in athletic training education. I am a CAATE site visitor and completed approximately 18 site visits. I have served as member of the Joint Review Committee on Athletic Training whose charge was to make accreditation recommendations to CAAHEP, the accrediting agency for athletic training. Was also a founding member of the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education when it assumed the role previously played by the JRC-AT. Elected to my current role of President of the CAATE in November of 2007 and took office in August of 2008.
