Bachelor of Science in International Business and Language

Degree Requirements (124 hours)

This degree combines the business core, emphasis on international business, and language proficiency in Chinese, French, German, Spanish, or Russian

I. Tulsa Curriculum (45 hours)
Every undergraduate must fulfill the requirements of the Tulsa Curriculum, which has two parts: the core curriculum and the general curriculum.

II. Free Elective (3 hours)

III. Business Core (37 hours) Business majors must earn a grade of C or better in each of the business core courses (except Bus 1001) in order to meet requirements for graduation
    A. Freshman Core (4 hours)
    B. Sophomore Core (21 hours)
    C. Junior/Senior Level Core (18 hours)

IV. International Business Concentration (12 hours)

V. Language Concentration (27 hours)*
Language concentrations include 27 hours at the 3000-4000 levels as specified by the requirements for the major in the language selected, including an on-campus Business Language course. An internship in a country where the language is used extensively may be taken as part of the language concentration.

A foreign study experience and/or a foreign practical business experience of at least six (6) weeks, approved by the IB&L faculty and the TU Center for Global Education is required.

*In most cases completion of two additional specified courses will allow the student to earn a second degree.  Bachelor of Arts with a major in the selected language.  Contact collegiate advisors for further information.
