As the assistant director of the International Business and Entrepreneurship Institute (IBEI), Claire Cornell is developing an internationally recognized program to serve as a gateway to international and entrepreneurial endeavors for graduate and undergraduate students at TU. Before her duties with the IBEI, Cornell was executive administrator of Entrepreneurial Programs and acting director of the Family-Owned Business Institute at TU. Cornell mentors the College’s student teams for the annual Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup Collegiate Business Plan Competition. In 2007, TU teams took first place in the undergraduate division and second place in the graduate division in this prestigious statewide competition. In 2008, TU teams took second and third place in the graduate division. Additionally, Cornell mentors the TU Students in Free Enterprise team, which was recognized as a Regional Champion in 2008.
