Gilcrease Museum is one of the country’s best facilities for the preservation and study of American art and history. It houses the world’s largest, most comprehensive collection of art and artifacts of the American West, including historical manuscripts, documents, and maps, as well as an unparalleled collection of Native American art and artifacts.
TU is well-known nationally and internationally for the quality and depth of its research endeavors. McFarlin Library Special Collections have an extensive archival collection of literary documents, manuscripts, and historical documents, which are available to TU students and scholars from around the world.
TU also has a number of laboratories in its anthropology, chemistry and biochemistry departments that are available to students in the Museum Science and Management Program to conduct research in these areas.
