HIST 3323 - Politics and History in Soviet Film
Overriding theme will be how Soviet films not only represented politics at different stages in the 20th century but also created a usable history. Structure of the course will be a chronological survey, from a sample of the silent films of Eisenstein to the glasnost films of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Same as Flm 3323.
