Facilities

The Department of Languages is located on the first floor of Oliphant Hall, Suite 100. The department has four dedicated classrooms located throughout the building. The first of these up-to-date “smart” classrooms, the Anne S. Woolslayer Russian Studies Room, was established by the Woolslayer family and became the model for further development of dedicated classrooms in French, German, and Spanish. The Temple Multimedia Language Lab in OH 200 hosts a bank of computers equipped with language composition software for facilitating spelling and conjugations.

The current incarnation of the Language House is a block of apartments in the University Square West complex. The Language House hosts a variety of national and international students interested in language study. Language House students work with the Department of Languages to organize events such as dinners, faculty presentations, recitals, and exhibits.
