Welcome to the Department of Theatre And Music Theatre

 

dsc twoThe TU Theatre program is dedicated to the collaborative process intrinsic in making excellent theatre. The primary focus of the program is on undergraduate training. The training offers a wide variety of approaches and techniques in performance and design; in the social and historical relevance theatre, the craft of the playwright, and the technician. The production arm of the department is seen as a laboratory in which students and faculty aspire to work collaboratively toward a unified and exciting theatre event.

The TU Theatre season is dedicated to variety and quality. TU Theatre has been recognized nationally through the American College Theatre Festival, the Irene Ryan Acting Competition, Design and Stage Management Awards.

Traditionally, the Theatre Arts have been a rich and rewarding part of the student life at the University of Tulsa. Students from all areas of study are eligible and welcome to participate in productions.
