An uplifting play about bravery in economic hard times. This dark comedy by Obie award winning playwright, screenwriter, founder and director of the NY Playwright’s Lab, Israel Horovitz brings us humor and bravery in beautifully drawn characters revealing strength and tenderness as they bravely face, aging, cheating partners, cutbacks, loss of relationships, and job security. The “downeastern” women of the failing Northshore frozen fish sticks company struggle to keep their town livelihood afloat. They work the production line - shaping and disguising unrecognizable frozen fish parts with batter and packaging to ship out to lowest end of the frozen fish market. Three generations of women have shared work, men and breakups, now they face the closing of the town’s only industry.
