It’s a play that will live forever, one you won’t forget.
by
Tennessee Williams
October 14-18 2009
Directed by David Cook
A STREETCAR NAME DESIRE, winning the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1947, is generally considered the finest play by Tennessee Williams, one of the most celebrated playwrights in the history of the American theatre. The lyrical quality of Williams’ prose, rarely equaled, is on full display in this beautiful masterwork that pits, against one another, two of the best written roles in all of theatre: Blanche DuBois (the delicate, aging Southern belle) and Stanley Kowalsky (the rough, young Polish laborer). It’s a play that will live forever, one you won’t forget.
