ART 3443 - Digital Painting with Photoshop

Techniques and visual vocabulary of contemporary illustration, focusing on today’s dominant imagegenerating application, Adobe Photo-shop. Lessons begin with generating basic shapes, textures, and lighting, and rendering objects, layering and creating montage effects. Images are used in combination with type design in real world illustration assignments and individual creative projects. Prerequisite: Art 1103, or Theater 1223. Same as Flm 3443.
