TU's School of Art Opens 'uncarnate' Exhibit by New TU Professor Glenn Davis Nov. 6

The University of Tulsa will open an exhibit by new Assistant Professor of Art Glenn Herbert Davis with a reception beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in the Alexandre Hogue Gallery on the TU campus. The exhibit, titled “uncarnate”, is a story of status and relationship told through furniture, buildings and bodies. The exhibit will run through Dec. 6. Gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday though Friday. Parking is available at Fifth Street and Florence Avenue. For more information, call the TU School of Art at (918) 631-2739.

Davis has a background in mixed media design, photography, printmaking and painting. He has taught art courses at Ohio University and Iowa State University. Before earning his master’s degree in fine arts from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan, he was operations manager at Intermedia Arts in Minneapolis, a nonprofit arts presenting organization specializing in large-scale installation, performance, and diverse forms with an emphasis on community building.
