Facilities
The School of Music is currently located in Tyrrell Hall, one of the oldest building on campus. The Gothic, stone structure with leaded glass windows, and beautiful detailed woodwork was dedicated in 1930. The stone and Gothic architecture is now used throughout the campus.
The Tyrrell Hall Auditorium is used for most performances. The auditorium has two nine-foot Steinway grand pianos that can be used on stage or off. There are currently 7 practice rooms in the basement for students to use.
The Music Annex is located on the north east corner of the Mabee Gymnasium. The orchestra, jazz band and the marching band practice in the Music Annex.
The Roxana Rozsa and Robert Eugene Lorton Performance Center, the new home of The School of Music, is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in 2011.
