Jazz Ensemble Concert with Guest Trumpeter, Walter White

The University of Tulsa's School of Music presents The TU Jazz Ensemble Concert with Trumpeter, Walter White of The Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, on Sunday, November 15, 2009, under the direction of Professor Vernon Howard.  The concert starts at 3:00 p.m. and will be held at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame - The Jazz Depot  is located at 111 East 1st Street - Upper Level (1st & Cincinnati) Tulsa, OK 74103. For more information or to reserve tickets, call the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame at 281-8609. 

Appearing with the TU Jazz Band as guest soloist will be jazz trumpet great Walter White. White’s credits as a performer include work with Maynard Ferguson, Woody Herman, Dave Holland, the Jaco Pastorius Big Band, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, the Mingus Band and many others. Compositions by Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Duke Ellington and Walter White will be performed.
