Faculty and Staff
Faculty in the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences have diverse teaching and research areas of interest. They are committed to preparing our students to achieve their goals both in their studies and in their careers. Many are world-renowned in their fields and have been recognized for their excellence by organizations such as: National Academy of Engineering, American Society for Metals International, American Welding Society, Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation, IEEE, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, American Society of Materials, Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers, Society of Petroleum Engineers and American Society for Engineering Education.
Staff members of the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences are also committed to the success of our students. Our Department Assistants, Academic Advisors, and the Dean's Office staff are available as a source of information on University policies and procedures, to direct students to other offices on campus as necessary, and to assist in making the educational process run smoothly.

Dr. Miska's research interests have focused on well control, modeling of pressure build-up under impending blow-out conditions; wellbore hydraulics; buckling behavior of tubulars and axial force transfer; underbalanced drilling (aerated muds, foams); and mechanics of drillstrings.Full Bio »
