The 2009 High School Chem-E-Car Competition
Objective: Build a small car powered by a chemical reaction and control that chemical reaction so the car travels a certain distance and stops. Get ready to stop your cars!
Who: Teams of at least five high school students
What: High School Chem-E-Car Competition, including cash prizes
When: Tuesday, April 28, 2009, time TBA
Registration Deadline: Friday, March 27, 2009
Where: University of Tulsa, Keplinger Hall
Why: To demonstrate an application of a chemical reaction Read our general announcement letter or the rules for more information. Study the scoresheet for the poster competition. Register by faxing us a registration form. These competitions are FUN and students learn some chemistry and engineering!
