TU Research Featured on Cover of Chemical Communications

Wednesday, December 11, 2013

Research led by TURC Scholar and CSURP participant Caitlin Pegg was recently featured on the cover of Chemical Communications. Pegg and her collaborators Greg Jones and Thushara Athauda devised a simple method to prepare nanofibrous mats that carry therapeutic payloads such as antibiotics, analgesics, and enzymes. The research team envisions using these materials as biodegradable wound dressing for chronic wounds and burns. This project was a collaborative effort between the Chalker and Ozer Research Groups in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. For more information, the publication can be downloaded here.
