The Department of Electrical Engineering offers a curriculum leading to the B.S. degree which includes a strong foundation in the electrical, system, computer, mathematical, and physical sciences. The B.S. degree in electrical engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET http://www.abet.org.
The mission of the Department of Electrical Engineering is to provide a modern, high quality educational experience for all our students. We provide the knowledge and principles on which electrical engineering is founded in order to graduate engineers who are technically competent, creative, and articulate.
The primary objective for the Electrical Engineering department is to prepare graduates to engage successfully in the practice of electrical engineering by obtaining employment or admission to graduate school.
Based on both the mission statement and the primary objective of the department, The Electrical Engineering Program Educational Objectives are to provide graduates with:
- The knowledge to meet employer needs should they choose a professional career.
- The knowledge to engage in advanced study should they choose to continue their education.
