Geosciences Students Present Posters and Participate in Colloquium

Geosciences students participated in presenting posters, contributing papers and presenting at the Research Colloquium this week. Mohamed El-Waraky gave a presentation Wednesday, April 2, on the subject, Organic Biomarker Classification of Oil Families in Southern Oklahoma.
In the Natural Sciences Category, Bharat Banjade, Xin Lai, and Yulun Wang contributed papers in a College Poster Session at the University of Oklahoma/Tulsa Research Forum on Tuesday, April 1, at the OU/Tulsa Schusterman Learning Center. Some of the topics included:
Bharat Banjade - Geochemistry of Atoka Sandstone and Mudrock from the Southern Ouachitas of Oklahoma: Implication for Provenance;
Xin Lai - Upper Albian Chemostratigraphy of Comanche Shelf Interior Washita Group, Southwest Texas;
Yulun Wang - Chemostratigraphy of Upper Albian (Lower Cretaceous) Comanche Shelf Margin.
Congratulations also to Dr. Dennis Kerr, Bharat's dissertation advisor, and Dr. Robert Scott, thesis advisor for Xin and Yulun.
