Laboratory Safety
Laboratory Safety
Safety in the lab is the responsibility of everyone using the lab. Each lab has separate safety requirements, but a few general guidelines are
- Never work alone
- Always wear long pants and closed toe shoes (no sandals/flip flops)
- Always wear eye protection
- Never operate machinery that you have not been trained to use
Safety Agreement
Each student who wishes to use any of the ME general use laboratories, including the ME project Lab, is required to read, understand, and sign the safety protocol agreement.
A copy of the agreement can be found here.
