With the advancement of technology, reservoir management tools are being more frequently implemented in order to assist the reservoir engineers in the decision making process of optimal development of hydrocarbon fields. Assessment of the uncertainty in the reservoir description and the predictions of the simulation models, optimal placement of the injection and production wells and determining their optimal controls are subjects of interest in developing robust and efficient reservoir management tools. My research is mainly focused on the advancement and improvement of these reservoir management tools including automatic and assisted history matching methods, well placement and production optimization algorithms.
