Mission Statement

The mission of the McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering is to provide a high-quality educational experience that prepares each graduate either to work in the petroleum industry or to pursue an advanced degree.

TU's program in Petroleum Engineering enjoys an excellent national and international reputation. While teaching a balanced petroleum engineering curriculum is our major goal, the school also is committed to discovery of new concepts and technologies in the areas of drilling, production, and reservoir engineering utilizing unique experimental facilities. The McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Engineering, Master of Science, and doctoral degrees.

The B.S. program in petroleum engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET (www.abet.org).
