Free CLE: Faculty and Alumni Showcase Series featuring Tom Arnold

Members of the legal community can earn one hour of free CLE credit by attending the Nov. 18 Faculty and Alumni Showcase Series lecture featuring M. Thomas Arnold, professor of law at The University of Tulsa College of Law.

Arnold’s lecture is entitled “Multinational Corporations and Human Rights.” It will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Price and Turpen Courtroom of John Rogers Hall, 3120 E. 4th Place. Lunch will be provided for those who register.

Arnold joined the faculty of the TU College of Law in 1980. He was honored in 1983 with the TU Outstanding Teacher Award, the university’s highest teaching honor. He also has been recognized as the law school’s Outstanding Faculty Member in 1981-1982 and has been selected as Outstanding Faculty Member by the first-year class on four occasions.

Arnold is the coauthor of a treatise on accountants' liability and also writes extensively in the area of business organizations. His teaching interests include agency and partnership, contracts, corporate law, entrepreneurial law and franchise law. He previously served as an associate dean from 2001-2004 and from 2005-2008. He also served as interim dean during the 1994-1995 academic year.

Arnold taught a course in Multinational Corporations and Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland, in summer 2007 and Freiburg, Germany, in summer 2009.
