Minority Law Awareness Day
Friday, February 12, 2010 from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM
Minority students with an interest in the law have the opportunity to participate in Minority Law Awareness Day, Feb. 12, 2010, at The University of Tulsa College of Law.
Cosponsored by the College of Law and the Law School Admissions Council, the one-day event begins at 9:30 a.m. at the TU College of Law in John Rogers Hall, 3120 E. 4th Pl. The schedule includes an address from guest speaker the Honorable Wilma L. Palmer of the Tulsa County District Court, a minority law student panel discussion, lunch with minority legal practitioners, a tour of the Tulsa County Courthouse and a tour of the Conner & Winters law firm.
The event is free and intended for high school juniors and seniors, and college freshmen and sophomores. Roundtrip transportation to the courthouse, law firm and back to TU’s campus will be provided. The program, which is part of National Minority Law School Recruitment Month, is designed to encourage minority students to consider a career in law.
Space is limited for the program. To reserve a spot, contact Larry Curtis in the law school admissions office at (918) 631-5480 or larry-curtis@utulsa.edu. The deadline to register is January 25.
