The CLE will prepare practitioners to provide advice and representation to individuals who may be eligible for "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals" (DACA). The CLE will provide an overview of the application process for deferred action and employment authorization under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. The presenters will cover an overview of US immigration law, the eligibility requirements for DACA, the bars to DACA relief, the application process and discuss potential pitfalls and ethical obligations of attorneys representing DACA applicants.

The CLE and Pro Bono Legal Clinic will be held in Room 201 at John Rogers Hall.

In order to register for the CLE, participants must commit to participate in the Pro Bono Legal Clinic for Pro Se DACA Applicants on Saturday, June 15.
