Susan Webber Wright To Present Public Lecture at TU

Chief Judge Susan Webber Wright of the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, will present a public luncheon lecture during her visit to The University of Tulsa College of Law on Friday, October 6. The program, which will begin at noon, will be in the President’s Lounge of the TU Allen Chapman Activity Center located at Fifth Place and Florence Avenue.
Webber Wright is the judge who found President Bill Clinton in civil contempt of court for obstructing justice and ordered him to pay Paula Jones’ legal fees.
Webber Wright is visiting the TU College of Law for a two-day Judge-in-Residence program. She will be meeting with students and faculty while she is on campus, in addition to the public lecture and luncheon.
Webber Wright received her bachelor’s degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, her master’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and her juris doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law. Webber Wright has been a United States District Judge since 1990 and the Chief Judge since 1998.
