TU, Tulsa Jewish Federation To Present Second Annual Rabin Lecture,

The University of Tulsa and the Tulsa Jewish Federation will present the second annual Rabin Lecture, titled “A Portion of Animosity: Orthodox/Non-Orthodox Conflicts in Israel” on Saturday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m.

Martin Edelman, a professor in the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University of Albany, will be the speaker. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be in the Moot Court Room in John Rogers Hall, 3120 East Fourth Place. Following the lecture there will be a public reception in the lounge area of John Rogers Hall. Reservations are requested by January 26.

The Rabin lecture series was started in 1998 as a way of honoring the late Israeli Prime Minster Yitzhak Rabin who was assassinated on November 4, 1995.

Edelman is recognized for his expertise on the topic of Israel and Israeli constitutionalism. He has studied the changing role of the Israeli Supreme Court and the concept of the rule of law.
